Several displays side by side are not yet a video wall. Only when all panels sit in the same frame, glow at the same brightness and the bezels barely show does the viewer see one image instead of four screens. That is what decides whether a wall looks premium or like an electronics store.

Why four displays are not automatically a wall.
If every panel starts its own video, they drift apart within minutes. An object moving across the image then has an offset in each segment — immediately visible to the eye, even at two frames. The same applies to brightness: panels without factory calibration produce a chessboard of grey tones.

Which arrangement makes sense when.
The shape of the wall follows the room and the viewing distance, not the budget. Four common arrangements and what they are good for:
3 displays
3 × 1
The entry point. One image band above the counter or in the window — landscape for width, portrait for height.
4 displays
4 × 1
For wider fronts and longer menus. Four surfaces carry more content without any single one looking crowded. Landscape or portrait.
5 displays
5 × 1
The continuous wall for lobbies, trade fair stands and flagship spaces. Works from a greater distance too. Landscape or portrait.

Offset or mixed portrait arrangements for architecture that does not offer a rectangle. We design the layout and the mounting for it.

Where a wall does more than a display.
A video wall pays off where surface itself is the message: when people look at it from a distance, when the room is tall, or when several pieces of content need to be visible at once.
Lobby and reception. Live data, a welcome and brand motifs on a surface that carries the room.
Trade fairs and stages. Legible from twenty metres, quickly assembled, reliable across all show days.
Flagship and hospitality. A wide image band above the counter replaces three separate menus and reads more calmly.
You buy the panels once including mounting and calibration; the control software runs as a monthly licence per display. Synchronised content across several surfaces requires SCRN Premium.
Hardware
One-off, including mounting, installation and calibration
Looking closely from a short distance, yes — with LCD panels they cannot disappear entirely. Thanks to the bezel-to-bezel design they are barely noticeable from about two metres away, and with moving content the eye practically stops registering them. If you need a genuinely seamless surface, an LED wall is the right answer — we offer those on request as well.
Can I run a single video across the whole wall?
Yes, that is the standard case. One video is stretched across all panels and played back frame-accurately in sync. Alternatively you can split the wall into zones and show different content simultaneously. Both are controlled in SCRN Premium.
Can the wall be extended later?
Yes. The system architecture is designed for it — a 3×1 becomes a 4×1 or 5×1 without replacing the existing panels. What matters is planning for it in the mounting and cabling, so tell us early if an extension is conceivable.
How much heat is generated, and is air conditioning required?
A wall generates considerably more heat than a single display, especially in recesses and closed cladding. The panels' thermal management normally handles this itself. In tight installation situations we plan ventilation in — room air conditioning is usually not necessary.
How long does installation take?
Mounting a 3×1 to 5×1 usually takes one day, including alignment and calibration. From briefing to a running wall we plan one to two weeks; custom layouts take longer.
What happens if a panel fails?
Monitoring reports it in real time. Because a failed surface in a wall is especially noticeable, we treat it as a critical installation — we are on site within 24 hours, and spare units are stocked in Berlin.
